Dr. Zahir Moloo, MD FRCP (C) FCAP FCPath (ECSA)

Dr. Zahir Moloo is the Regional Clinical Director and a Laboratory Medicine and Regional Pathologist at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi. In addition, he is an Associate Professor at Aga Khan University and the LabSkills Africa Technical Director at AKUHN. Dr. Moloo graduated with his undergraduate degree in Medicine from the University of Dar-es-salaam in 1976. He completed his post-graduate training in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Western Ontario in 1982, and completed a fellowship in Hematopathology in 1983. 

 

He is interested in developing services and associated education programs in East Africa in clinical and academic pathology. His clinical interest is in general pathology and his special interests are in breast, gynecological, and haematopathology. He has also been involved with the NCI PAR 15-155 project, "Improving Anatomic Pathology in Sub-Saharan Africa to Support Cancer Care".
