ASAP's Global Giving Campaign is NOW LIVE!

March 13th marks the first day of ASAP's Global Giving campaign!

The accelerator campaign will run from March 13th to March 31st. During this time, ASAP needs to raise $5,000 for our project, Training African Pathologists in Cancer Diagnosis, from 40 different donors. If we are successful, we will become permanent members of Global Giving, and we will be able to continue to fundraise for one or more of our projects through this platform.

ASAP in collaboration with the College of Pathologists of East, Central and Southern Africa (COPECSA) and Aga Khan University (AKU) held a successful 2.5 day workshop on cancer staging with over 20 pathologists from across the ECSA region and expert faculty from the United States, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

The workshop series, held November 16-18, 2018; at AKU in Nairobi, Kenya, featured the following cancers:

Head & Neck
Breast
Endometrial & Ovarian
Gastric & Esophageal.

The sessions consisted of short, 30 minute lectures covering the most important information for solving the cases, 2-hour sessions for completing cases in small groups, and a 1-hour session where challenging, local cases were reviewed by the expert faculty.
